How do I log into Rakennustieto services?
You log into Rakennustieto services via the rakennustieto.fi website by selecting Login.
On the login page, choose the login method your organisation uses:

Logging in with username and password
- Used with personal user accounts or group accounts
- Enter your username and password in the designated fields

Organisational login (SSO)
- Log in using your organisation’s own credentials
- No separate registration required
- The username is often the same as your organisation’s workstation login

IP-address based login
- Used by organisations with restrictions on allowed IP addresses
- Does not require a personal user account

Logging in via rakennustieto.fi directs you straight to My homepage, where all available services and digital books are displayed. Read more in the article My homepage – navigation to services.

Verification services (M1, EPD, UMT, IS)
These services are accessed via a separate application portal using a personal username and password.
Registering for Rakennustieto services
If you do not have a user account, you can register by selecting Register at the top right corner of the rakennustieto.fi page.
Approval of registration requests within your organisation
If your organisation already has a Rakennustieto account:
- You submit a registration request during the registration process
- The main user responsible for your company’s license management receives an email notification about the request
- The main user approves or rejects the request in license management
- You receive an email notification of the decision
Note! This only applies to users logging in with a username and password – not to SSO or IP-based logins.
Resetting your password and password errors

Ordering a new password
- You can order a new password via the login page by clicking the Forgot your password? link.
- The password setup message will be sent to the email address linked to your user account.
- For verification services (M1, EPD, UMT, IS), a new password must be ordered via the separate application portal.

I did not receive the password setup email – what should I do?
- Check your email’s spam folder
- If you cannot find the message, please contact Rakennustieto customer service

You cannot order a password for organisational login (SSO)
If your organisation uses SSO login:
- You CANNOT change your password on the Rakennustieto website
